SAN LORENZO MARKET |

From S. Lorenzo Square to Ariento Street, all around the Basilica of San Lorenzo (in the historical centre of Florence) you will find the most important market of the town. CENTRAL MARKET: Inside of the San Lorenzo market, in Ariento Street, you will find the best food- market of the city. Take a walk and discover what the market can offer you; it is open every morning from 7,00 to 14,00, except of the Sundays and on holidays. In winter it is open only on Saturday and the days that precede the holiday.

Situated in Ghiberti Square and in Saint Ambrose Square, the market is either inside or outside. Go walking and discover the fresh fruit, the vegetables, the clothing, the flowers, the shoes and the stalls of household, then go in if you are looking for meat or fresh fish, pasta, groceries in type or good cheese. Are you hungry? Than you have to sit in the inside restaurant (good and suitable). The market is open all the weekends (to exception of the Sunday) from 7 to 14.

If you are looking for some fruits, vegetables, garments, groceries in general, stalls of household, objects of antique business, telephone cards, shoes and any other thing you may need, then is the case to go there. And after to have done lots of shopping, do not forget to do a walk for the park.

The well-known Fleas Market of Florence is in Ciompi Square and it is open every day from 9 to 19,30. And if you have the opportunity, go in the last Sunday of every month, when the stalls extend themselves until the neighbouring roads. Here it is possible to find furniture and ancient objects, coins and jewels. In the middle of the objects of antiquaries and between the full of dust books, sometimes it's possible to find real treasures. It is important to do at least a ride to taste a little of the ancient Italy.
