Museo "MARINO MARINI"
The Museum, prepared in the evocative atmosphere of the ex-church of San Pancrazio, accommodates a large number of works that the sculpture Marino Marini (1901-1980) gave to the City of Florence. The collection, that offers to the town an important space for the contemporary art, offers the opportunity to retrace the artistic itinerary of one of the gratest sculptural of Italian the twentieth century. The 200 pieces are arranged according to a theme regulation, that allows the visitor to draw itself near the world of the artist, done of knights, Pomone and portraits. The museum accommodation respects with large sensibility the indications of Marini in the choice of the materials and of the natural illumination of the environments, creating a rare effect of harmony between the inside and the works. The multiplicity of the technologies tested offers a further deposition of the interest of the artist for the expressive possibility of the shape.
